The 2-2-5-5 schedule
Fixed weekdays at each home, with weekends that alternate. Two, two, then five and five.
PDF, free to print and share. No email needed.

The 2-2-5-5 schedule gives each home the same two weekdays every week, then splits the rest into five-night blocks so the weekends rotate. One parent always has Monday and Tuesday, the other always has Wednesday and Thursday, and Friday to Sunday alternates. Over the fortnight it settles into an even split.
The fixed weekdays are the appeal. Children know that Monday is always at one home and Wednesday is always at the other, which makes clubs, lifts and homework easy to plan around. The five-night blocks mean fewer handovers than the 2-2-3, with longer settled stretches at each home.
The printable lays out the fixed days and the rotating weekend on one sheet, with a monthly calendar to fill in. Print a copy for each home and the week plans itself.
